STAN'S PROGRAMS AND RECORDINGS
Stan Ransom performs a variety of programs especially designed to
suit your group and your needs. He sings and plays guitar, hammered dulcimer, autoharp,
and mandolin, depending on the occasion. Programs to suit your budget are from 30 minutes
to two hours or more, with one and one-half to two hours being the norm. Luncheon programs
are shorter in keeping with your schedule. Ransom, a veteran professional performer, has
presented successful programs to delighted audiences for over 55 years! The Midwest Book

PROGRAMS:
- North Country Heritage: Songs of Lake Champlain and the
Adirondacks, from the historical to the humorous.
- Songs of Lake Champlain: Songs of the Lake, Vermont and
Canada, including "Champ, the Lake Champlain Monster."
- Adirondack songs and stories: Songs and music of the
Adirondack Mountains, rich in drama and folklore.
- Children's programs: From pre-school through elementary
grades. Finger plays, songs for fun, sing-along for everyone!
- Acoustic and traditional music instruments:
Demonstrations of guitar, hammered dulcimer, autoharp, mandolin, bowed psaltery, ukelin,
etc.
- Long Island traditional music: Seventeenth to twentieth
century music of Long Island, including whaling and shipwreck songs, historical songs,
parlor songs and others. Based on his two albums of Long Island music.
- Maritime program: Songs of the sea and whaling. Sailing,
shipwrecks and disasters on the sea and on our lakes.
- Understanding our Region Program: Especially designed
for fourth to eighth grade students, following the New York State curriculum. The
important events in New York State history, illustrated in songs.
- Hammered Dulcimer: Background music for your party, reception, wedding or organization.
